Is there still such a thing as "The Irish Sweepstakes"?

When I was a kid in NYC, I often head reference to The Irish Sweepstakes. Haven't heard it mentioned in decades, until recently when an old relative said something along the lines of "If I won the Irish Sweepstakes....". It got me to wondering.
